Romans says those that call on the Name of the Lord will be saved

Saved includes

Strong's #4982: sozo: to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):--heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon: to save, keep safe and sound, to rescue or preserve from danger or destruction

God protects

“After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”” Genesis 15:1 (NKJV)

“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.” Psalms 3:3 (NLT)

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalms 28:7 (NLT)

“We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield.” Psalms 33:20 (NLT)

Vs. 22 goes on to say that our hope is in you ALONE

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.” Psalms 84:11 (NKJV)

“You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.” Psalms 115:11 (NKJV)

Israel, house of Aaron

“My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge…” Psalms 144:2 (NKJV)

“He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me. Psalms 144:2 (NLT)

“How blessed you are, O Israel! Who else is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your protecting shield and your triumphant sword! Your enemies will cringe before you, and you will stomp on their backs!”” Deuteronomy 33:29 (NLT)

“my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my saviour, the one who saves me from violence.” 2 Samuel 22:3 (NLT)

He doesn't just provide or give protection.

His very presence IS protection

“…. O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them.” Psalms 17:7 (NKJV)

“ He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” Psalms 18:30 (NKJV)

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” Psalms 18:30 (NLT)

“Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.” Proverbs 30:5 (NLT)

More specific

“How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues.” Psalms 31:19-20 (NLT)

“…Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Psalms 2:12 (NKJV)

“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” Psalms 56:3 (NLT)

“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. Psalms 37:5 (NLT)

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT)

“Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.” Psalms 146:3 (NKJV)

“For I will not trust in my bow, Nor shall my sword save me…..” Psalms 44:6-7 (NKJV)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

“And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!” Mark 10:24 (NKJV)

““What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,” says the Lord. “You make plans that are contrary to mine. You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins. For without consulting me, you have gone down to Egypt for help. You have put your trust in Pharaoh’s protection. You have tried to hide in his shade.” Isaiah 30:1-2 (NLT)

“What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 31:1 (NLT)

In what?

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Psalms 20:7 (NKJV)

“But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.” Psalms 52:8 (NLT)

“Then I can answer those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.” Psalms 119:42 (NLT)

How do you put your trust in God

Psa. 91:1 HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

Psa. 91:2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

Psa. 91:3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

Psa. 91:4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

Thousands of missiles a year, sometimes hundreds per day, are fired into Israel. The Eshkol Regional Council lies in southern Israel, bordering the infamous Gaza strip. When the sirens sound, whether you’re a 97-year-old Holocaust survivor, or a 3-month-old infant, you have 15 seconds to make it into a bomb shelter before an explosion. Fortified bomb shelters in Eshkol Region provide more than physical safety; they offer peace of mind, hope for a better tomorrow, and a constant reminder to our Jewish brothers and sisters that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).
