RBTC PNG, an Extention of RBTC Australia
Founded in 2001 with the assistance of the PNG national church, RBTC PNG was established in the capital city of Port Moresby. RBTC PNG was birthed out of a desire to see national church workers in a developing nation trained in life changing truths from God’s Word. As an outreach from Australia, it is the desire of the founder and his team to see leaders in their neighbouring nation trained in the Word of Faith and effective leadership.
RBTC PNG, an Extention of RBTC Australia was founded by Ps Nigel Darch, a 1985 graduate of RBTC Australia. Nigel and his wife Margaret are Senior Pastors in Queensland.
The charter class of 2001 had 80 graduates. In order to cover the nation with the Word, RBTC PNG relocated to Lae, the second largest population centre in PNG in 2003 where they had 136 graduates. In 2006 the school moved to Rabaul on the volcanic island of East New Britian where there were 67 graduates. In 2007, the school moved to the eastern most tip of the mainland at Alotau where they had 84 graduates. In September 2009, over 800 graduates will have completed their studies the extension school of RHEMA Australia.
