God has given us a Denomination
The only means that God used in the first five days of creation was His Word, spectacular and supernatural in the effect. However, on the sixth day God used something natural, dirt, in creating and forming man. Since that time, the great things that God does occur in those two ways.
Sometimes the Word of God is the only component used, while other times God uses something to facilitate a miracle or part of His plan. Let’s remember some of them. To accomplish divine purposes, He used Moses’ rod, Elisha’s staff, and putting a tree in the water to change it from bitter to sweet. A sling shot in David’s hand and even the jawbone of a donkey in Samson’s hand was used to bring deliverance. These tools, and many others not mentioned here, were instruments for God’s power and plan.
Less spectacular but none-the-less significant, was the boat that Jesus used to preach from. All of us have been taught the mighty truths of Jesus’ parable of the sower and other parables of the Kingdom found in the fourth chapter of Mark. Due to the number of people crowding in on Jesus, He got in a boat so that His voice could be heard by the crowd and not just the few who were closest to Him. He was able to reach more people with His heavenly teaching through the use of the boat.
Among God’s purposes for RHEMA to be in Australia has always been and still is to proclaim and propagate the grand and redemptive work of Jesus, the authority that this work gave to believers, the power and leading of the Holy Spirit and faith in God and His Word. To facilitate reaching the most people with these tremendous and impacting truths—God has given us an instrument ~ a “boat”, if you will.
Through divine connections a denomination recognised by the Australian Government has been released to us to use for the glory of God.
The RHEMA denomination will enable us to:
- Provide an avenue of unity, strength and fellowship between Churches and RHEMA; establish affiliates and associate members in the ministry to which God has called them
- Recognise proven ministries in the Body of Christ through membership in RHEMA Australia as licensed or ordained ministers
- Supply a vehicle through which counsel could be given to a member for the purpose of encouraging accuracy and soundness in doctrine, procedure, ethics, and conduct
- Provide a system whereby ministerial replacement and interim ministers for churches or ministries may be recommended and contacted
- Assist in producing strong, capable, and ethical ministerial leadership in the Body of Christ
